• Certification
• After completing Smiles Plus DAC, students will receive CPR certification and a Certificate of Completion from Smiles Plus Dental Assistant Academy. This certificate will help qualify applicants who wish to further their certifications as a Dental Assistant through the Dental Asssitant National Board (DANB).

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid government-issued photo ID
• Must disclose whether the applicant has a criminal record (as certain convictions may affect eligibility for externships or employment)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Completion of the Smiles Plus DAA program application form
• Proof of required immunizations or willingness to update vaccines (e.g., Hepatitis B, TB test)
• Agreement to follow all professional, attendance, and conduct policies

Infection Control & General Chairside Assistance Certificate of Completion

Certificate of Completion in a 24 hour Radiology Health and Safety Course required by Maryland State Dental Board of Examiners.
